After making a quick stop at the post office to mail my taxes yesterday, Allie and I checked in for our flight to St. Mary's (for the second time in as many days). Fortunately, the weather forecast was clear, and our flight wasn't cancelled. Three random people had their bags removed from the plane since it was overweight from the mail load, but it wasn't my "lucky" day.
The flight out was quite smooth, though I had to move seats so the plane would be more balanced. There were quite a few people from the school district on the plane, so Allie and I were able to get a ride into town (a few miles from the airstrip). We're staying in visiting teacher housing during our week in St. Mary's, and it's a very nice setup. I'll try to get some photos of the school and community, but for now I wanted to let you know that we're here safely and settling in nicely.
