After the ATP Job Fair ended, I expected to fly out the next day to St. Mary's. With our cancelled flight, Allie and I had some extra time in Anchorage on Sunday. Fortunately, that's a beautiful time to be in Anchorage. It was sunny, clear and warm (at least in the 40s). I'm glad that I know some kind and hospitable people in Anchorage as well. After Allie and I spent Sunday afternoon studying at the public library, we had a backyard fire to roast brats and marshmallows.
From left to right:
1. Beluga Point is south of Anchorage on the Seward Highway. Nick and I went out there on Friday night to talk about the interviews I'd had earlier in the day. Once you're a bit away from the road, it's quite peaceful.
2. We got to see the sunset on Friday as well. I really like the reflection of the sunset on the water.
4. Allie and I had a good time relaxing with Nick and his friends. While we were at the library, I got a call from the superintendent from St. Mary's telling me that Ravn Air had added an extra section for Monday, so we'd get to fly out to the village before mid-week.
